    Folk Open Mic/Bethel Steele

The Folk/Acoustic Open Mic night at TCAN has been a tradition since its inception in 1997. Come early to sign-in as a performer, or to get a great seat for one of the most successful and entertaining open mic nights on the East coast. Each Folk/Acoustic Open Mic night features a variety of new and experienced performers, followed by concert presentations by the featured artist of the evening. Come and see why TCAN has become the gathering spot to see and meet local artists and nationally recognized touring performers. Tickets sold at the door for all performances. Performer sign-up begins at 7:30pm. Featured Artist: Bethel Steele Bethel Steele is an Americana-inspired singer-songwriter who calls Boston, Massachusetts home. Bethel's smoky alto and playing style - which ranges from driving rhythm guitar to delicate finger-picking - evokes a wide range of emotions. Broken Record, is the latest project, a stripped-down 5-song EP that captures the energy and intimacy of a live performance and showcases Bethel's raw emotive vocals, driving guitar playing and introduces a new musical family member, the 5-string banjo.
