    Folk Open Mic/Dan Hart

The Folk/Acoustic Open Mic night at TCAN has been a tradition since its inception in 1997. Come early to sign-in as a performer, or to get a great seat for one of the most successful and entertaining open mic nights on the East coast. Each Folk/Acoustic Open Mic night features a variety of new and experienced performers, followed by concert presentations by the featured artist of the evening. Come and see why TCAN has become the gathering spot to see and meet local artists and nationally recognized touring performers. Tickets sold at the door for all performances. Performer sign-up begins at 7:30pm. Featured Artist: Dan Hart "I get to tour in Europe and I can't get sued for malpractice" are the reasons former psychologist Dan Hart gives for abandoning the 50-minute hour for the life of a singer/songwriter. Now based in Boston, Dan has been performing his unique mix of folk, rock and comedy at clubs across the U.S. and Europe for 30 years. Dan's tours have taken him to 30 states and 8 European countries. Dan was born in Chicago and grew up in Los Angeles, the son of a broadcaster and a writer. Since leaving L.A. he has lived in almost every region of the U.S.; his lyrics combine Midwestern honesty, West Coast humor and East Coast cynicism
