    Mike & Big Shot perform all of Billy Joel’s greatest hits and even some of the lesser known tunes that only a true die-hard would know and appreciate. The true Billy Joel fan will be blown away after experiencing Big Shot live. On any given night they will also astonish you with songs in their set from other artists like Paul McCartney, Elton John, The Beatles, Journey, and others plus songs from Michael’s original CDs.

    True Billy Joel fans will be excited to know that this tour is featuring current members of  Billy Joel’s band, guitarist Tommy Byrnes and drummer Chuck Burgi. Tommy has been with Billy for the last 23 years to present. He was key in helping Billy and Twyla Tharp create the Tony Award-winning Broadway smash Movin’ Out and served as the show’s Musical Director during its long run. Chuck has been Billy’s drummer since 2005.  Plus Chuck is an original cast member of Billy Joel’s Broadway musical Movin’ Out band. Chuck has continued performing sold out shows throughout the world with The Piano Man. Chuch has also toured and worked with Hall & Oats, Michael Bolton, Diana Ross, Enrique Iglesias and others. Also joining them is Richie Cannata, Billy Joel’s original saxophonist from 1975 to 1982. Richie also toured again with Billy in 2006 and was part of Billy Joel’s record-setting 12-show run at Madison Square Garden in 2006. 

    Mike is a well known Long Island Musician/ Singer/Songwriter has released 2 of his own original CDs, and when performing Billy Joel’s music is a dead ringer sound alike.  Michael was recently hired by Billy Joel himself to rehearse his band for some upcoming tour dates.

     The other members of the band are: Bassist Nick Dimichino, an original member of the band Nine Days who released their debut album, The Madding Crowd, in 2000 on SONY 550 Music. The band scored a #1 hit in the United States from the album with the single “(Absolutely (Story of a Girl)”. Carmine Gigliio plays the keyboards/Synth and has also performed with Movin’ Out and the Trans Siberian Orchestra.
