March 23, 2014
FAMILY FOLK CHORALE Spring Concert with Special Guest Alastair Moock
For its annual Spring Concert, Family Folk Chorale will be performing with singer/songwriter Alastair Moock, whose “Singing Our Way Through: Songs for the World’s Bravest Kids” has been nominated for a Grammy Award for best children’s album! You can learn more about his work at his website: http://www.moockmusic.com/
This is a show that will very likely sell out, especially following the Grammy awards on January 26, 2014 in Los Angeles. This special Family Folk Chorale concert with Alastair Moock has also been selected as a WUMB member concert and will be publicized on the radio. Make sure to get your tickets while you can!
The Family Folk Chorale is the Boston area’s premier intergenerational chorus. Families and individuals alike join together to sing the songs we love. Check us out at our www.familyfolkchorale.org
Combine about twenty families singing in harmony with a backdrop of some of the area’s most talented musicians and some of the best-loved folk music around, and you have the one-of-a-kind Family Folk Chorale. The spirited energy of children, the honesty of teenagers coming of age, and the experience of adulthood and elders all come shining through as chorale members aged 1-75 raise their voices in harmony and invite audiences to sing along.
