     This spring, the Wellesley College Cinéphile Sundays series lingers over cinema's remarkable explorations of memory. Our first selection, Sans Soleil (Sunless), is a nonlinear essay film by elusive documentary filmmaker Chris Marker.      This spring, the Wellesley College Cinéphile Sundays series lingers over cinema's remarkable explorations of memory. Our first selection, Sans Soleil (Sunless), is a nonlinear essay film by elusive documentary filmmaker Chris Marker. It is a collage of images from around the world, all presented without direct sound. The soundtrack consists of occasional spells of electronic music while an unseen woman narrates letters from a traveler in poetic verse.
