The Legends of Boston Comedy Show comes to Boston's Citi Shubert Theatre for one very special night only on Saturday, June 14th!

This amazing lineup stars Boston comedy superstar Lenny Clarke, Don Gavin, “The Undisputed King of Boston Comedy,” "The Funniest Man You've Never Heard Of,"Kenny Rogerson and hometown favorite Tony V.

See the comedians that ushered in the golden age of Boston comedy! Never once giving up on their love for comedy has put these 4 performers in the icon category for comedy fans of all ages. With hilarious material, impeccable stage presence, and some of the best Boston accents you’ve ever heard, the Legends of Boston Comedy Show presented by Laugh Boston will be one of this summer’s most talked about events.

    Lenny Clarke
"Veteran Boston stand-up comedian Lenny Clarke has an oddly calibrated act — his material and his perspective is very much in an old-school Don Rickles vein, but his attitude is very much that of a quick-witted young comic. This contrast comes wrapped in a conversational, deceptively genial delivery, with just brief moments of clowning. Clarke is also unpredictable in a very good way on stage — you don’t know where he’s going to go next. It’s never the same show twice. He’s a unique and funny performer … truly worth catching". — NYC Review

    Tony V
Tony V started his stand-up comedy career in 1982 after attending several shows at Boston’s prestigious Comedy Connection. He wandered in one night, quite by accident, looking for a little stress relief from a high pressure job as a case worker at the Somerville Mental Health Center. Tony was working his way toward a Masters degree in social work having graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B. S. in Psychology. It was not long after that he took to the stage himself. Tony’s street wise humor tempered with a genuine feel for the human condition quickly propelled him to headliner status on the national comedy club circuit.

    Kenny Rogerson
The Funniest Man You've Never Heard Of, KEN ROGERSON started his comedy career working the Chicago club circuit and at the famed Second City. After touring with the improvisational troupe The Comedy Rangers, Ken moved east and became a central part of the now famous and infamous exploding Boston comedy scene of the 1980's as documented in the film "When Standup Stood Out". There he honed his standup act to a fine edge "…sharp enough to cut the head off a rabbit at thirty yards."
Fresh off the Rescue Me Comedy Tour and recently completing taping the Billy Gardell Showtime Special you may also have seen him as "Kevin the Biker Fireman" on F/X's hit show "Rescue Me" starring Denis Leary or as "Pat the Cop" on ABC's "It's All Relative" with Lenny Clarke. He has also made numerous other television appearances on such shows as NBC's , "Late night with Conan O'Brien", "The Late Show with David Letterman", "Comics Come Home" for Comedy Central and Showtime's "A Pair of Jokes" just to name a few. Of the time he spends working in Los Angeles, Rogerson says "Being in L.A. is weird for me, because I grew up on Earth."

    Don Gavin
Don is considered the Godfather of Boston Comedy. He was one of the original founders of the famous Ding-Ho Comedy Club in Cambridge, MA (a launching pad for some of the funniest, brightest and most original comic talent in America.) Later, Don founded Nick's Comedy Stop & was a pioneer at the Comedy Connection. Don has toured every state of the union performing in clubs, theatres, festivals, colleges & corporate events. Don has performed in over 100 countries with his work with the USO & cruise ships. Don is lightning quick & a sure fire hit wherever he performs.
