Tony award winning actor and singer Mandy Patinkin will perform as part of the Jonathan Samen Hot Buttons, Cool Conversations Discussion Series at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton on Wednesday, April 30 at 7:30pm.
The show Mandy Patinkin: Dress Casual with Paul Ford on Piano will begin with a 50-minute musical performance, followed by a one-on-one conversation between Mandy and Robert Brustein, founder of The American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge and renowned theatre critic, producer, playwright and educator. After the discussion, Mandy and Robert will field questions from the audience.
Mandy’s Broadway credits include Evita (for which he won a Tony Award for his role as Che), Sunday in the Park with George, Mandy Patinkin in Concert and The Wild Party (Tony Nomination). On television, Patinkin has been seen on Chicago Hope, Criminal Minds and Homeland. His film credits include Yentl, Ragtime, Everybody’s Hero and The Princess Bride.
