OSV Overseers’ Distinguished Speaker Series: Nathaniel Philbrick

Award-winning historical non-fiction writer, Nathaniel Philbrick will make a special appearance at Old Sturbridge Village as part of the Overseers’ Distinguished Speaker Series to discuss his latest book, “Bunker Hill: A City, A Siege, A Revolution.” The book tells the story of the Battle of Bunker Hill - the bloodiest battle of the Revolution to come, and the point of no return for the rebellious colonists. The book was named the winner of the 2013 New England Book Award for Non-Fiction. Philbrick, a “New York Times” bestselling author, also wrote “In the Heart of the Sea,” “Sea of Glory,” “Mayflower,” “The Last Stand,” and “Why Read Moby-Dick?” The cost to attend the program is $15 per person ($13 for OSV Members). Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the speaker will begin at 7:00 p.m. A cash bar will be available.
