    12:30pm-1:30pm: 13 years & up

    Lead by Pianist Christy Robinson

In collaboration with Longy School of Music’s
Teaching Artist Program (TAP), Brookline Music School proudly presents Finding Expression in Music.
Through motion and sound, the audience will
explore expression in music, how we communicate emotion to each other, and how music communicates emotion to us.

    Audience Participation Includes:
Experimenting with physical and vocal expression
    Experiencing the music emotively
Discussing the quality of motion with and without Bernstein’s music

After the presentation there will be a performance of the song cycle and discussion about the students’ experience, questions and comments about the music itself, and the song cycle’s protagonist, and what she communicates through music.

Please RSVP in advance to info@bmsmusic.org with Finding Expression in Music in email subject.
