Haydn and the Ladies of London
Toward the end of his career, Haydn made two trips to London and his friendship with three women there inspired some of his greatest music. Come to a concert by The Berry Collective (Anney Barrett, soprano; Susanna Ogata, violin; Colleen McGary-Smith, cello; and Sylvia Berry, fortepiano) performing songs and piano music written during Hadyn’s London visits. You’ll hear music performed on a recently restored Broadwood & Son grand piano built in 1806. For more information, visit www.sylviaberry.org. Tickets are $15 and include admission to the museum, $10 for seniors, students, and members – come early to tour the museum! At the Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds, 286 Waverley Avenue,02458.
