    Evenings Under the Stars

South Shore Conservatory (SSC) announces the lineup for the 2014 Summer Spotlight outdoor concert series in the Jane Carr Amphitheater at One Conservatory Drive in Hingham. Summer Spotlight includes the popular Evenings Under the Stars Saturday evening concerts, Wacky Wednesdays family concerts, and Berklee Stars at SSC Friday night concerts.

The Evenings Under the Stars (EUS) series starts Saturday, July 12 as the Evenings Under the Stars Festival Orchestra, with Hingham native Nicholas Palmer conducting, presents String Serenade! On July 19, Berklee Bob Marley Ensemble performs meticulously written arrangements of the Jamaican icon's much loved reggae music. Women of the World takes the stage on July 26, playing amazing folk and traditional music in 21 languages. The final EUS concert on August 2 is H.M.S. Pinafore, a semi-staged comic opera featuring the talents of SSC voice faculty members, Snug Harbor Chorus singers, and vocal friends of SSC. Preconcert receptions allow EUS concertgoers to relax with a glass of wine and light appetizers and converse with other music lovers.
