Harborwalk Sounds: Grey Season
July 10, 2014
Kicking off this year’s Harborwalk Sounds is Grey Season, a fivepiece outfit that defines their banjo-licious mix of “folk, rock, bluegrass, and bliss” as “stinky rock ’n’ roll” or “timeless folk.” Formed in 2001, the group honed their upbeat performance style busking on the streets of Boston and Cambridge and playing at such venues as the Middle East, Phoenix Landing, TT the Bear’s Place, and Murdock Manor. In April, they released their first full-length LP, recorded with Grammy-winning engineer Justin Guip at the legendary Levon Helm Studios (a.k.a. “the Barn”) in Woodstock, New York.
