Adrianne Lenker & Buck Meek and Twain

Hailing from Minneapolis, the city that birthed legends like Paul Westerberg, Bob Mould and His Royal Purpleness, Adrianne Lenker is an authentic, passionate singer, songwriter, and performer. Her debut CD, "Stages Of The Sun", was released on LucidTunes when Adrianne was only 14. Her followup CD/DVD, "Live At The Southern", was recorded a few days before her 15th birthday in July of 2006 at the Southern Theater in Minneapolis. At 16, she shifted gears, redefining her style as folky and raw with an indie-pop edge. Shortly after graduating Berklee on a full scholarship, which was awarded by Susan Tedeschi, Lenker moved to New York City in 2012 and released her newest, and what she considers to be her true debut album, "Hours Were the Birds".

Adrianne's vocal influences have ranged from Billie Holiday to Bjork, and her sound has been described by blogs as "a mix of Laura Marling, Coco Rosie and Joni Mitchell." (Madmackerel.org) She won the 2013 Kerville Folk Festival's New Folk Competition, and was a finalist in the 2005 International Songwriting Competition. She has opened up for a range of artists, such as Susan Tedeschi and Ryan Montbleau. She is a poignant and versatile songwriter, and a exceptional guitarist. In a time of assembled artistry, Adrianne is a breath of fresh air.
