BACA - Performance Showcase
August 24, 2014
Featuring Elizabeth Young, Wendy Wolfberg, Lisa Hall, Teddy Edgar, and Frank Stewart, with Tom LaMark on piano The Boston Association of Cabaret Artists (BACA) creates a supportive community of cabaret performers, provides opportunities for live cabaret events, and cultivates enthusiastic audiences. Cabaret vocalists, musicians, songwriters, music educators, and producers comprise BACA's membership, along with audience members who love the cabaret art form and come to listen. BACA members express themselves primarily through song and may blend vocals with additional art forms (e.g., storytelling, humor, dance) to create their own unique acts. The majority of our membership ranges from aspiring singers to professional vocalists who perform from Provincetown to Boston to Worcester to New York City and beyond. BACA members perform a broad array of musical styles from jazz, blues, pop, Broadway, the American Songbook, folk, contemporary, and country to classical.
Founded in 1995, BACA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization led by a Board of Directors.
