One of the world’s leading interpreters of Bach, pianist Sergey Schepkin has earned a reputation as an artist of remarkable technical ability with a passionately enthusiastic spirit.
Schepkin has performed in many of the world’s great halls, making his Carnegie Hall recital debut in 1993— a performance which garnered accolades from the New York Times. He has played with many renowned instrumentalists throughout his career, including the Borromeo, Cuarteto Latinoamericano, New Zealand and Vilnius string quartets, as well as the Chameleon Arts Ensemble of Boston, of which he was a founding member. Schepkin is also a member of the Boston-based Trio Amici, where his partners are violinist Lucia Lin and cellist Owen Young, both members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
