Fall Fringe Festival
October 8 - October 26, 2014
The BU Fall Fringe Festival, now in its 18th season, is a collaboration between the College of Fine Arts School of Music: Opera Institute and School of Theatre. The festival’s mission is to produce new or rarely performed significant works in the opera and theatre repertoire, bringing performers and audiences together in unique theatrical settings. 2014 titles include the BU New Play Initiative production of The Whitmores by Ben Ducoff, Later The Same Evening - a one-act opera inspired by five Edward Hopper paintings and written by John Musto and Mark Campbell, and La Tragédie de Carmen - an adaptation of Bizet's Carmen adapted by Peter Brook and Jean-Claude Carrière.
