This ideal family treat played to sold-out houses this winter. If you weren't able to get a ticket then, now is your chance! Reserve your tickets early - this strictly limited engagement runs for only two weeks!
Behind the red velvet curtain lies a topsy-turvy world of surreal surprises, tricks, and transformations, where dreams come to life and the impossible happens before your very eyes….
Aurélia Thierrée was first seen on the A.R.T. stage as a young girl, performing in the Cirque Imaginaire with her parents. Now an actress and acrobat in her own right, Aurélia has charmed audiences around the world with this dazzling display of stage illusion, inspired by the magic of music hall and circus, and co-created with her mother Victoria Thierrée Chaplin.
An ideal treat for the whole family, suitable for children 8 to 100.

I had been avoiding the ART because of the grim pieces that had become its signature. So this was a double delight for the contrast - a confection.

"Ingenious, but lacking story line."
Review posted by: Paola from Boston, MA, Aug 03, 2009
The performers are talented and it is nice to see acrobatics and magic happen at the theater, but unfortunately, a plot line was lacking so the was like pieces of a show but not a whole.

"Different"
Review posted by: Mom and Daughter from Boston, MA, Aug 03, 2009
This performance is difficult to describe. It is curiously different, but not as cirque as I was expecting, as far as acrobatics and not explosive either, but very playful. It was refreshing how they... Expand

Fair. Not explosive. OK. Not that unusual. Young children might enjoy it, but I doubt.

I tried explaining Aurelia's Oratorio to friends after I saw it last year and it's hard to do: part circus, part illusion, and part dance, Aurelia's Oratorio has this effect on you where you start to... Expand

This production is the enchanting and whimsical legacy of other Chaplin "cirques" we've enjoyed over many years. It was wonderful to see the latest results of Victoria and Aurelia's ever-evolving... Expand
