A love letter to the musical theatre, this recent Broadway hit tells the story of two struggling young writers who decide to enter a musical theater competition, even though the deadline is just three weeks away. With the help of their friends, the pair write and perform a show in the festival, along the way learning important lessons about themselves as people, friends and artists.

Having seen this play off-broadway a few years ago, I was anxious to hear the songs again. Unfortunately, the traveling cast, while serviceable, do not have the charm or charisma of the charisma of... Expand

Very enjoyable show. I don't think there were any heavy insights, as some descriptions imply, but my family laughed throughout the show and liked the tunes, too.
