This rollicking, deconstructed version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music has been lauded by critics and audiences alike through numerous sold-out runs in New York City. Vaudeville gags, astute references to the choreography of Martha Graham, José Limón and others, and a multitude of social dance moves are set to the original film soundtrack, enveloping audiences in Elkins’ imagination.
