Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker, features the Company and more than 250 children from Boston Ballet School. This holiday tradition has showcased Boston Ballet and Boston Ballet School’s artistry, technique and love for dance for more than 40 years and continues to delight Boston audiences. The cherished Tchaikovsky score will be performed live at the Opera House by the Boston Ballet Orchestra in the newly renovated orchestra pit.

      The nutcracker was exquiste. The boston ballet is beautiful, including the orchester.

      I took my 7 yr. old daughter to see the Nutcracker last thursday. I remember seeing the show in previous years and being in awe when the toys came to life and the toy soldiers marched, etc. This did... Expand

      I took my 7 yr. old daughter to see the Nutcracker last thursday. I remember seeing the show in previous years and being in awe when the toys came to life and the toy soldiers marched, etc. This did not happen in this show, I was so disappointed and so was my daughter. We really built it up for her and although the dancers were beautiful and very talented, the "true" Nutcracker is definitely not the same. I'm very happy I did not pay full price for the tickets.       Dancers were fabulous. Costume designs just breathtaking as were the stage design and special effects. Wonderful energy from everybody from the orchestra to every dancer on stage. And reasonable... Expand

We really built it up for her and although the dancers were beautiful and very talented, the "true" Nutcracker is definitely not the same. I'm very happy I did not pay full price for the tickets.
