Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois brings the original production of his latest New York hit to Boston in this wickedly funny about a blind date gone bad written by Gina Gionfriddo (writer/producer of "Law & Order," After Ashley). A newly married couple fixes up two romantically challenged friends, and an evening calculated to bring happiness takes a dark turn. Crisis and comedy ensure in this hilarious new play that asks what we owe the people we love and the strangers who land on our doorstep. Becky Shaw marks the beginning of Peter DuBois' multi-year exploration of American comedy on Huntington stages.
"Ferociously funny! An engrossing, deftly plotted, and sharp-witted new play." - The New York Times

"Becky Shaw" herself does not appear until later in the play and one wonders at the title. Soon it becomes apparent that it could have just as easily been called "The Catalyst" as the presence of this... Expand
