      I should have been there. Fiddler on the Roof has always been one of my all time favorite movies. I just finished watching the movie with Norma Crane. I just couldn't believe that Topol is still performing this role. This movie to me is about so much more than just what it means to Jewish history. It shows today's generation what a strong father figure existed in that generation. I could relate to so much of the Papa role. My "Papa" was so much the same. Collapse

      Fiddler was fantastic! To see Topol after watching him in the movie countless times was such a treat! I loved it to the end.

      Despite the fact that I had originally seen Fiddler on the Roof decades ago, I found this experience new, fresh, moving -- one of the most exciting experiences I've ever had in a theater!. Topol was deep, complex, and wonderful. And the group chorus numbers – singing and dancing – absolutely blew me away. I'm so grateful I turned to Bostix and got tickets. Collapse

      This was both a delight and a disappointment: the latter because just before curtain we were told that Topol would not perform; the former because it is one of the best musicals ever, and the understudy was excellent....BUT he was not Topol, and Topol was THE reason I went to this particular production.       I first saw Fiddler in NY 44 years ago. Since then I have seen in on several continents and in at least two languages. I love Fiddler. This time I was able to see it twice: once with two granddaughters and then with my grown son. I know most of the words and songs, and we are all quoting them to each other at appropriate moments. Topol says this is not the last time; he wants to do it again at 80. I hope I will be there too. Collapse

      Although the theme seems dated at times, it is also an enduring message. Topol was great, slower, older, but deeper, more subtle. The dancing and singing were enjoyable. This was not over the top... Expand

      Although the theme seems dated at times, it is also an enduring message. Topol was great, slower, older, but deeper, more subtle. The dancing and singing were enjoyable. This was not over the top amazing, and as fun and memorable as the songs may be, this is not a cheer you up type show. We thoroughly enjoyed the production, the characters and the evening. Collapse

      The evening did not go well from the start. Show actually started BEFORE 7 p.m. curtain time which left us and dozens of other ticket holders in the lobby, missing "Tradition", the crux of the show.... Expand

      The evening did not go well from the start. Show actually started BEFORE 7 p.m. curtain time which left us and dozens of other ticket holders in the lobby, missing "Tradition", the crux of the show. Topol, G-d love him, is no longer up to challenge & mumbled, stumbled through. It seemed that other cast members played down to his level. Daughters had LOVELY voices. So glad hubby & I saw show years ago and know what it can and should be. Collapse

      I should have been there. Fiddler on the Roof has always been one of my all time favorite movies. I just finished watching the movie with Norma Crane. I just couldn't believe that Topol is still performing this role. This movie to me is about so much more than just what it means to Jewish history.
