      This was an incredible production----theater at its best. Estelle Parsons is incredible as are the other cast members. It is nice to see serious drama/theater come to Boston but sad that there were... Expand

      This was an incredible production----theater at its best. Estelle Parsons is incredible as are the other cast members. It is nice to see serious drama/theater come to Boston but sad that there were many empty seats. This production should have been sold out and is not to be missed. Collapse

      August,Osage County just finished a run at the Colonial. Too bad that it didn't stay for another week. August is one of the great plays. Outstanding performances and the fastest 3 1/2hrs of a play... Expand

      August,Osage County just finished a run at the Colonial. Too bad that it didn't stay for another week. August is one of the great plays. Outstanding performances and the fastest 3 1/2hrs of a play of a family's breakdown and breakup were on stage. All emotions were on display:anger,laughter,hate,love,surprise and disgust. Though Estelle Parsons owns the play as the vitriolic matron of the family, Shannon Cochran holds her own as the oldest sister against the pain of the mother's pill addiction and her father's suicide. Hopefully in a few years, one of our local theaters will mount this wonderful play again. So much to hear and one time was not enough. Collapse

      Excellent acting/performances, but O'Neill and Williams covered all of this decades ago. I'd rather see something less conventional/more interesting by Sarah Ruhl, etc.

      This is a brilliant play, well staged and well acted. It's long and complicated, but worth every minute. See it!
