What sacrifices are made for greatness?

The celebrated and world-renowned Lazara String Quartet is struggling to prepare for their highest-profile performance when their gifted but volatile violist mysteriously disappears. The play is interwoven with rich and powerful music that propels this New England Premiere forward. Violinist-turned-playwright Michael Hollinger's Opus has tempers flaring and egos clashing when a new member is introduced and the group's secrets are revealed.

      This was a great production! One of the best- blocked I have seen in years. The play itself is a splendid study of group process. Benjamin Evett was particularly subtle and powerful at the same time. We have seen Evett for years and enjoyed the work of the Actors Shakespeare Project; but, he has never been better than in OPUS. Saying that, I particularly appreciated this ensemble production; each part was powerfully portrayed. I have been endlessly recommending this production to my friends, especially those who might enjoy a classical music and theatre combination. This is a production one wants to see again and again.
