Schwartzkopf chose to do a residency at Mudflat Studio because she wanted to be in a community of artists in a city vibrant with art culture.     Lacoste Gallery is pleased to present "A Year's Residency at Mudflat," works in porcelain by Deb Schwartzkopf, on view July 11-31, 2009. Schwartzkopf chose to do a residency at Mudflat Studio because she wanted to be in a community of artists in a city vibrant with art culture. To do a residency in Boston gave her a foothold in the art community and made her part of an immediate family of artists. Schwartzkopf finds meaning making beautiful serving vessels and she creates work that is comfortable and encourages discovery through use. The results are functional pottery which enriches and celebrates daily life.
