Studs Terkel won the Pulitzer Prize by preserving the individual voices affected in ways big and small by World War II. Combined with nostalgic songs and popular dancing from the era, The Good War becomes an uplifting document of The Greatest Generation during their finest hour.

      The Good War was not just singing of the favorite songs of WWII but what was behind those songs for the men and women who fought. Turkel took out the sentimentally of the songs and told us what... Expand

      The Good War was not just singing of the favorite songs of WWII but what was behind those songs for the men and women who fought. Turkel took out the sentimentally of the songs and told us what our fighting men and women were doing as the songs were sung. It was a different take about fighting the last good war. Regardless of the cause, lives were changed forever. The seven people who went to this production liked the voices and different approach to history from this production. Collapse

      We found this a very boring show not what we expected. This show was advertised as a musical -it was a story with some songs in which a few of the songs were sang twice. For the ticket price I would not recommend this to any one. Four of us attended. Collapse

      The Good War was not just singing of the favorite songs of WWII but what was behind those songs for the men and women who fought.
