After garnering critical and popular acclaim with The Sparrow's debut in Chicago, writer and original director Nathan Allen will direct the East Coast Premiere of this riveting fable. Orphaned teenager Emily Book returns to the town she once called home to finish her final year of high school--but this time, she's carrying a secret. An ordinary teenager with extraordinary abilities, Emily must embrace her supernatural powers and confront the truth about her past. An exciting tale of teens and telekinesis.

      I'm always so happy when a show manages to tell its story in a creative and original way. In the case of The Sparrow it is clear that everyone involved is working to create a terrific, unforgettable experience for the audience and they succeed. I loved the story and the production itself and I know you will too. It is well worth seeing. Collapse

      I'm still replaying in my mind, the wonderful play and stunning production I saw last Thursday night. "The Sparrow" is a truly beautiful piece of theatre, written, directed and mounted with equal parts of daring and sensitivity. The players, both the young ones and the not so,do such impressive ensemble work, while the Sparrow herself leavens her character's misery with just enough humor and hope to keep the audience rooting for her, against all odds. I hope every reviewer within viewing distance gives this show five bright stars. Collapse

      I saw the original production in its Apollo run in Chi-town. Loved it, loved it, loved it. It's thrilling, beautiful, all the things you want theater to be. Highly recommended.
