  I enjoyed this production of a musical theater war-horse, a testament to Porter's genius after 61-years. I agree with those recognizing the tremendous talent of Peter Davenport. He is a performer that I want to see more of. Amelia Broome's Kate was also excellent and their comedic timing was on the par of Tracy-Hepburn. The younger actors who play Bianca & Bill gave great performances as did the whole cast. The STANDOUT was the woman playing Hatti; I hope that she is given a starring role soon. And yes, if you are in the first couple of rows (especially on the sides) you are going to be almost face to face with the performers, making it all the more exciting. But don't worry they respect the fourth wall, so there is nothing uncomfortable about it. Wish it were a larger stage, because the cast was filled w/ talented dancers; unfortunately they were restricted by space to marking their steps rather than dancing full out. I subscribed during intermission; looking forward to more. Collapse
