The Boston Landmarks Orchestra will welcome the MIT Summer Philharmonic Orchestra and its conductor George Ogata to help perform a selection of pieces celebrating feminine literary icons. Performances will include Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherezade, based on a character of the same name from Arabian Nights, and Tchaikovsky’s Francesca da Rimini, portraying a tale derived from Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy.
