Summer in the City: "The Case of the Missing Woodpile" by Gerwick Puppets
July 29, 2009
In this solo production, puppeteer, Len Gerwick, uses a different performing style: he is visible to the audience. The show's focus is on the morals of the fables: appreciating what you have, learning from the mistakes of others, and falling victim to one's own weaknesses. The show is a musical mystery called The Case of the Missing Woodpile and it's about two children who are on summer vacation. I do all the performing. The puppets were created by Deborah Costine, a another performer with The Gerwick Puppets. the jazz score was composed and played by Jon Klein, an instructor at Berkelee College of Music.
