The Happy Medium Theatre Company is proud to present Neil Simon's The Gingerbread Lady, directed by Mikey DiLoreto. A daring three act comedy-drama, The Gingerbread Lady tells the story of an alcoholic Cabaret singer, Evy Meara, trying desperately to sort her life out after returning home from a stint in rehab. Rather than helping her adjust to a sober life, her two "best friends," Toby and Jimmy, only hinder her process with their own selfishness; and the resurgence of an old lover, Lou, is nothing short of a complete detriment. Only Polly, Evy's teenage daughter, has the fortitude to bring Evy back from the brink before it is too late. The production features: Mike Budwey, Michael Fisher, Crystal Lisbon, Lesley Anne Moreau, Victor Shopov, and Audrey Lynn Sylvia.
