Os Mutantes

Legendary Brazilian psychedelic rock band Os Mutantes existed at the forefront of the 60s Tropicália art movement, which included such great artists as Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa and Tom Zé. Their mix of traditional Brazilian styles and adventurous pop was a revelation, from their inception in 1964 to their break-up in 1978. The band reunited for shows in 2006, and play the Pitchfork Festival this summer before coming to Boston in support of their new Anti album, Haih.
