Do you have family photos, photos of an event in Cambridge, or snapshots of Cambridge scenes that were taken in the 20th Century? Do you like Toscanini’s ice cream? Then we have a deal for you. We would like to invite you to bring your photos to the Historical Society’s Hooper-Lee-Nichols House on August 8th and August 15th and let us add your memories to the history of Cambridge.

Your photographs will be scanned by the practiced hands of a professional digital archivist. While you wait, you can enjoy a free ice cream provided by Toscanini’s Ice Cream and a free Cambridge Historical Society water bottle to keep you cool on a hot summer day. We will preserve your memories in our digital library, and an exhibition of the scans will appear on our website, cambridgehistory.org, in the beginning of September. We hope you will join us for a fun afternoon of making history!

This event is a part of the Cambridge Discovery Days, an annual event coordinated by the Historic Cambridge Collaborative. This year will feature many walking tours and other events highlighting the rich history of Cambridge. For more information, please visit www.cambridgema.gov/historic/walks.html or call the Cambridge Historical Commission at 617 349 4683.
