Presented by at Boston University Theatre, Lane-Comley Studio 210

    October 9 - October 24, 2009

    The Good Person of Setzuan

Three Gods come to Earth in search of a ‘good’ person. They discover the good-hearted but penniless prostitute Shen Teh, who finds that being good comes with a price. When the townspeople begin taking advantage of Shen Teh’s goodness, she is forced to develop an alter ego, Shui Ta, to deal ruthlessly with the business of living in an evil world.

Presented as part of the 13th annual Fall Fringe Festival. The School of Music Opera Institute and School of Theatre are once again joining forces to present a series of operas, plays, and recitals in a 90-seat black box venue in this celebration of eclectic and contemporary works. This year’s Festival runs October 9 – November 1 and features: The Good Person of Setzuan, Lucrezia, Antigone, and Recital Meets Theatre.
