Brilliant Creatures, a new play by Carolyn Gilliam (CFA ’10), will open in the David Copeland Black Box Studio 354 at the Boston University College of Fine Arts, throughout labor day weekend. Directed by Collin Meath (CFA ’10), Brilliant Creatures features an ensemble of five, senior Theatre Arts majors at the Boston University School of Theatre. In a series of nine vignettes, the ensemble confronts the struggles of today’s twenty somethings by portraying them as everything from amorous fish to vicious dogs. The play challenges the audience to confront humans in their most primitive form and find a new animal within themselves.
