The sixth annual FirstWorks Festival opens Sept. 24 with Pixilerations, a showcase of new media art. Pixilerations [v.6] unveils: interactive art installations at 5 Traverse and RISD’s Sol Koffler Galleries (Sept. 24-Oct. 11), electronic music at URI (Sept. 25 & 26), and screenings at Cable Car Cinema (Oct. 7). Guest artist appearances: Pauline Oliveros with “Deep Listening” (Oct. 2), Dean & Britta’s “13 Most Beautiful”…songs for Andy Warhol's screen tests (Oct. 3).
