What better way to kick off the 2009-2010 Chamber Music Series than a concert by the Beantown Brass Quintet (Ralph Esterman and Jeff Orvedahl, trumpets, Jeff Stewart, French horn, Richard Kesner, euphonium and trombone, and Michael Touloumtzis, tuba). Their repertoire brings together lively music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods; Romantic and Modern classical works; and popular, jazz, and show tune numbers often featuring one of more of quintet members (trumpet, French horn, trombone/euphonium, or tuba) as soloists. Come hear Gershwin, Sousa, Gabrielli, Bizet, Haydn and more!
