In Conversation: Poets Donald Hall and X.J. Kennedy
November 12, 2009
They originally met at the University of Michigan when Hall was an assistant professor and Kennedy still a grad student. They met again when Hall stepped down as poetry editor of the Paris Review, passing the job on to Kennedy. The 14th United States Poet Laureate Donald Hall and the renowned X.J. Kennedy have been long-time friends and literary colleagues. This evening they appear together to talk about poetry, prose, and the fullness of life devoted to letters.
