Walden Chamber Players at St. Paul's Church in Brookline
March 7, 2010
The Walden Chamber Players, one of the country's most innovative and sought-after chamber ensembles, present a concert of music for strings at St. Paul's Church in Brookline. Continuing Walden's relationships with contemporary composers, a highlight of the concert will be the world premiere performance of a new work for horn, bassoon, violin, viola, ‘cello and piano, commissioned from Atlanta-based composer Alvin Singleton. In addition, the concert will also feature works by Schubert, Hindemith and Dvorak. The commissioning and premiere of the work by Alvin Singleton is made possible by the Argosy Foundation and the Twentieth Century Unlimited Foundation.
