The Singers' Voice - Gala Benefit Concert
October 3, 2009
Over 50 of Boston's finest singers join forces to raise money for the Boston Singers' Relief Fund. Musicians from the Handel & Haydn Society, Boston Baroque, Emmanuel Music, Opera Boston, Blue Heron, Tanglewood Festival Chorus and more will be performing works by Mendelssohn, Durufle, Lauridsen and Mechem, along with guest soloists Barbara Kilduff, soprano; Michael Calmés, tenor and Donald Wilkinson, baritone. Murray Kidd conducts, Timothy Steele and Fred MacArthur accompany. All proceeds to benefit the Boston Singers' Relief Fund - a new program for New England singers who have contributed significantly to the regional vocal arts scene and who are in need of financial support due to personal disaster.
