Over 75 Comedy Acts from Across the Globe - 5 nights. 3 Stages. 0 Yawns. - ImprovBoston presents the first ever Boston Improv Festival, a comedy event so large it will span three stages and five nights. From Wednesday, September 9 until the curtain falls on Sunday the 13th, ImprovBoston will play host to improvisers, sketch comedians, stand-up comics and film-makers from across the country and around the world. Produced by Will Luera. “Over the past 20 years, Boston has produced many of America’s most recognizable comedic talents” according to ImprovBoston Artistic Director Will Luera. “It was time to recognize the flourishing community by hosting a national event here in Boston.” The festival will bring together the cream of the Boston comedy scene alongside legendary acts from all corners of the comic globe. The lineup includes MC Mr. Napkins (Phoenix Best Local Comedian 2009), Joe Bill of the Annoyance Theater, ImprovBoston Mainstage, ImprovAsylum Mainstage, the Mexican National Improv Team, New York City's Sidecar and New Zealand’s Steve Lyons.
