    HISTORIC NEWTON WALKS Chestnut Hill in the Early 1900s In the early 1900s, Chestnut Hill changed dramatically as farmland was divided for estates and Boston College broke ground on their new campus. After touring the neighborhood, the staff of Longyear Museum invite you to tour Mary Baker Eddy’s remarkable home at 400 Beacon. This tour is offered by the Longyear Museum and the Newton History Museum. Meet in front of the carriage house at 400 Beacon Street. Parking is available in the lot behind the carriage house. Free.
