John Sebastian and David Grisman In Concert
September 27, 2009
As a solo artist and as the founder of the group The Lovin' Spoonful John Sebastian has written a tremendous number of some of the most memorable songs and music in the last four decades of American Music. "Do You Believe in Magic?", "You Didn't Have To Be So Nice", "Younger Girl", "Daydream" and others became part of the permanent American musical fabric. Mandolin wizard David Grisman has played his "dawg" music (a funky string music hybrid blending swing, bluegrass, Latin, jazz and gypsy) with the best in the business. Having known each other since the sixties they are here teamed up for a concert that captures and updates their individual musical magic with a mixture of traditional folk tunes, blues, instrumentals and acoustic duets from their joint CD Satisfied and their musical lifetimes very diverse roots and sources. Note: This is an outdoor rain or shine event. Food vendors on site.
