    Rigoletto

Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto never faded in popularity after its triumphant 1851 debut in Venice. The opera is perhaps best known for the song "La donna è mobile."  Based on an 1832 play by French writer Victor Hugo, Rigoletto traces the entanglements and eventual tragedy resulting from the sexual adventures of the duke of Mantua.
