Francisco Stork Book Signing
October 21, 2009
Seventeen year-old Marcelo Sandoval has Asperger syndrome; he lives in the suburbs of Boston, sleeps in the tree-house in his backyard, and has always attended a private school. But the summer after his junior year of high school, Marcelo's father insists that he work in the mailroom of his Boston law firm. Follow Marcelo's journey as he meets new friends and learns first-hand about jealousy, competition, love and life in "the real world." The New York Times raves that "in the skillful hands of Francisco X. Stork, 17-year-old Marcelo Sandoval is the bravest, most original hero [they've] met in years." Francisco will be speaking at St. John's and signing copies of his book afterwards. Books will be available for sale at the event through AANE. We hope to see you there! About the author: Francisco was born in 1953 in Monterray, Mexico. He now lives and works in Boston as an attorney for a state agency that develops affordable housing. Marcelo in the Real World is the third young-adult novel Stork has published. Learn more about Francisco Stork at http://www.franciscostork.com.
