MUSIC
Overheard/Underground Featuring Jozef Van Wissem and Jay Sullivan
Presented by Boston Center for the Arts
October 22, 2009
|
Jozef Van Wissem is a renegade of Renaissance music using the 17th century lute to create 21st century music. Wissem mixes classical, reversed melodies and electronica to create a unique blend of contemporary folk and early music. Jay Sullivan is a turntablist using distressed vinyl, vintage record players, and a variety of electronic ephemera to create richly crackling music out of dense fields of hiss and hum.
