From Brazil, this acclaimed state orchestra, conducted by 29-year-old U.S.Conductor Kazem Abdullah, fresh from his Met debut, and featuring Dame Evelyn Glennie on percussion! Program includes works of Nepomuceno, Villa-Lobos, Bartok, as well as a percussion work by James MacMillan. A gala celebration surrounds the performances as the Worcester Music Festival opens its 150th Anniversary Season.
