An Evening with Bob Congdon, Pianist. Music by Bach, Liszt, Debussy, and Poulenc
After beginning piano lessons with his mother Robert Congdon studied the piano with Myrna Rybczyk of Millis. As a high school student he studied at the New England Conservatory of Music, including piano performance with Doctor Edwin Hymovitz. After entering Saint John’s Seminary College he studied piano performance with Doctor Olga Stone of Boston College. Since his early theological studies in Rome he continues to study piano with Maestro Carlo Dominici. He has also worked with Professor Jean Alderman of Wellesley College. Ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1987 he has been a member of the faculty of St John’s Seminary. He has served many parishes in the Archdiocese of Boston and presently ministers at the church of Saint Mary of the Assumption in Brookline.
