Add Review/Comment
As part of its holiday menu, the Coolidge presents Danish director Gabriel Axel’s delectable, Academy Award-winning film Babette’s Feast, based on a story by Isak Dinesen. Flawlessly directed and gorgeously photographed, this cinephile and foodie favorite unfolds with quiet grace and beauty. Its climactic scenes, in which a sumptuous feast is prepared and consumed, are a mouthwatering delight. Before the screening, Dr. Guy Crosby, a professor of food science and nutrition who works with Cook’s Illustrated magazine and America’s Test Kitchen, explores how we experience taste.
