    Attempts on Her Life

The Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club Presents... ATTEMPTS ON HER LIFE Seventeen Scenarios for the Theater by Martin Crimp directed by Matt Stone '11 produced by Danielle Drees '12 & Bryce Gilfillian '12 --- She's a terrorist threat She's a mother of three She's a cheap cigarette She is ecstasy... Anne. Annie. Anya. Annushka – who is she? Attempts on Her Life hinges on this question, and deftly refuses to answer it. Martin Crimp’s groundbreaking 1997 play paints a portrait of an identity fragmented by the lens of our modern, globalized society. Over the course of seventeen disjointed scenes, we encounter Anne as a terrorist, a victim of genocide, an artist, a suicide case, a mother, a daughter, a porn star, a brand of car, and ultimately, none of the above. This multi-lingual and multi-media production in the Loeb Ex illuminates Crimp’s dark, mesmeric vision of the world and challenges us to ask how we know who we are anymore. Come join us for a remarkable evening that shatters the boundaries of conventional theater and opens us up to a new idea of the world we live in… --- The ensemble cast of ATTEMPTS features... Becca Feinberg '13 Ella Gibson '13 Joe Hodgkin '12 Nasir Husain '12 Meg Kerr '13 Jess Napier '10 Tony Sterle '11 Performances will take place in the Loeb Experimental Theater at 7:30 pm on November 13 - 15 and 19 - 21.
